This is a great overview of ancient Egyptian life and Egyptian archeological history. The book uses the discovery of King Tuts tomb by Howard Carter to discuss these wider issues. Not enough is known about Tutankhamun to really write a full biography book for children about his life. Thus, Id say only about a third of the book actually talks about him while he was alive. The rest discusses his father Amenhotep, everyday ancient Egyptian life, Egyptian religion, Howard Carter, the Rosetta Stone and Hieroglyphics, papyrus, and the genesis of the modern King Tuts curse myth.
